Unique Design
Optium wide-body spreaders come as standard with a conical body. This ensures better material flow, even with sticky or compacted products. Following the same principle, the beaters are wider than the body to prevent the manure from being compressed and blocked before reaching the beaters.
Wide bodies have been designed to simplify maintenance. Hard-to-reach areas and dead corners have been reduced to make cleaning easier. The double chassis is covered by a protective guard to prevent manure and slurry from falling onto hydraulic hoses and electrical cables. All hydraulic and electrical spreader controls are integrated into an enclosed housing for protection. This leaves the front panel unobstructed and greatly reduces the exposure of hydraulic and electronic components to manure slurry.
The front panel has been designed to be as straight as possible, preventing material from sticking and keeping the inside of the spreader visible. The floor conveyor can also be seen from the front of the machine, allowing continuous monitoring of its proper operation.
For regular, straightforward maintenance, Optium spreaders feature remote greasing points for components that are difficult to access. For more extensive maintenance, the beaters are mounted on a complete bolted frame that can be removed from the spreader.
Designed for intensive use, Optium spreaders are fitted as standard with HARDOX steel for wear parts and high-strength steel for the beater bodies.
Precision Spreading
With capacities ranging from 20 to 30 m³, PERARD Optium wide-body spreaders are specially designed for intensive use. Their large capacity ensures high work rates.
All Optium wide-body spreaders are equipped with 1,050 mm diameter HDS twin-spiral vertical beaters. Featuring a unique design, these beaters incorporate stepped-spiral technology, with a vertical paddle that breaks up and projects clods and a knife that chops straw fibres. The HDS beaters deliver unrivalled material breakdown and spreading width. When spreading cattle manure, the working width can exceed 20 m, reducing the number of passes and therefore soil compaction.
The wide spreading width also makes it possible to reduce the application rate per hectare while maintaining good uniformity. This gives PERARD vertical beaters great versatility, allowing them to spread both large quantities of cattle manure and small volumes of compost.
